On 16th May, ROWAD Foundation Organized Video Conference at Sana’a –Yemen. We Discussed Social Entrepreneurship with the International Speaker and co-director of Globalizer at Ashoka, Nadine Freeman from Peru. She shared the attendee’s valuable information and inspiring examples about Social Entrepreneurship.
The attendees represented various plyers from the eco-system players such as: INOGs GIZ, UNDP, NGOs SMEPS, AlKuraime Microfinance banks as well as Entrepreneurs. Total number of attendees was 14 person.
The Attendees shared Social Entrepreneurship needs and challenges within their context. Nadine gave very inspiring and relevant examples of Social impact models like Albina’s integrated waste system and Felipe’s education investment model.
At the end of the session Mr.Adeeb the Executive Director at ROWAD Entrepreneurs Foundation, expressed thanks for speaker and attendees and he added: “Social Entrepreneurship could have a real impact in Yemen and provide Yemeni youth to be proactive in dealing with their tough realities, and that’s why this session was very much needed to get more discussion started amongst the ecosystem”.
